I too installed 896688 and suffered the broken html links in both
windows help & office 2000. I tried OLE_fix.reg but this did not work. What did work was this advice below, from torgeir which I found when fixing this problem when another windows update broke the active X links. ( I never tracked this one down, ended up uninstalling IE 6 & re-installing) Thanks torgier Delete the "Compatibility Flags" value (if it exists) under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{ADB880A6-D8FF-11CF-9377-00AA003B7A11} |
