RE: WSUS-Update of KB896424 fails on XP SP2!
I have the same problem. After installing KB896424 I cannot boot my HP
Pavilion (XP SP2) desktop computer. It fails with a c000021a Fatal System Error showing 0xc000026c. I manually removed the patch using the recovery console and the system boots cleanly now. Obviously I need the patch but I cannot install it. What could be causing this problem? Do I need a BIOS update or something? Any advice would be most welcome! -- Dave
