Default Unable to download updates

I am having problems with downloading updates. Every update I tried results
in the following error:

Failed Updates
For help installing an update successfully, see the solution under each
problem description.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++
Please note (this may be hard to understand): What you see above is exactly
what I see in the browser. However, when I first did a copy/paste this
additional information is displayed as a result of the paste action:

Failed Updates
For help installing an update successfully, see the solution under each
problem description.

Problem: End User License Agreement (EULA) Not Accepted
Solution: Check for updates again and wait while you install updates. You
will be asked to accept the EULA before any updates with a EULA can be
installed.

Problem: Not Enough Disk Space
Solution: To make more space available, run the Disk Cleanup tool or
uninstall any programs that you don’t use. For directions, see Help and
Support on your computer.

Problem: Automatic Updates is currently installing updates
Solution: Please wait until Automatic Updates is complete and then check
your update history. At that time, if the update has failed to install, you
can try installing it from the website.
Note: To view Automatic Updates progress, click the updating icon in your
System Tray.

Problem: Please check your update history for a description.

Problem: A problem on your computer is preventing updates from being
downloaded or installed

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++

Honestly, this is not seen (nor is their missing space or invisable text)
within IE! Really weird and I am not sure if this is related to my problem.
I definately would not have known about these "solutions" if I didn't copy
what was on the screen to this window.

Anyhow....
Problem: End User License Agreement (EULA) Not Accepted
I selected CUSTOM install (EXPRESS update does not make a difference)
I click on "Review and install updates"
Total: 17 updates , 0 KB , 0 minutes * (*Downloaded; ready to install) -
so they are already downloaded.
I finally click on the "Install Updates" button and as soon as the install
begins, it fails!
There are no opportunities to accept a EULA!

Problem: Not Enough Disk Space
I have about 5GBs!

Problem: Automatic Updates is currently installing updates
Wrong! I even shut this down just to make sure. Made no difference!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

> I too, am having a problem installing a critical update; kb890830. When I got it downloaded the first time, it would go to the install page and at about 20% it froze. I then got the update as a Zip file from support, but Windows won't unzip it saying it is "unsafe software" or some similar BS. Support is not helping much. Their last suggestion was to go back to Windows Update and try the download again. I did that, and now I can't even get the update page to work. Maybe we would have been better off if we had bought Mac's.
