Hi,
I have a network XP pc and when I go to the update site through both the normal Xp update and the combined windows/office update site. The page begins to open then gives an error message on the screen and the above error message. This is NOT a firewall issue since we have a PIX and a Nokia that have not been changed. My PC was working fine until recently and I have Virtual PC installed on my pc with the exact same IE config that can download updates. Also other network pc's are fine. I have re-installed SP2 and installed the script engine. Any Ideas? |

This is a problem that is sometimes resolved by installing the latest version of
Windows Script. You can download this from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en 1. Click on the link to Microsoft Windows Script 5.6 Download. 2. Download the appropriate package. 3. Save Scripten.exe to your desktop. 4. After download double-click on the Scripten.exe program to install. -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged.
