This advice from
http://www.msusenet.com/archive/topi...870564191.html helped me resolve this problem: Catalyst09-26-2005, 09:41 PM Can you check the following keys under the following registry location: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\CodePage Check the CodePage for 932, 936, 949, 950 - if the string value is empty/missing, please populate it with: c_936.nls (like the rest of the values in this section of the registry) and the other values, respectively, c_949.nls, c_950.nls, etc. etc. If this resolves the issue, can you please POST HERE and let everyone know ? None of the sp2 updates (Office, junk e-mail filter, > visio and one note) will install. They all fail with the same error code. > > HELP!!!! > |

Additional caveats: Make sure you have those modules installed before trying to specify them. <w> and (note for lurkers of non-NTx OS in particular) check the prefix being specified. Ref: <title>KB283807 - Pictures Are Not Displayed on Web Sites in Internet Explorer</title> <quote> The value for this registry key should be set to the name of the appropriate code page file in your Windows\System or Windows\System32 folder. For the Western European (ISO) code page, this value should be either Cp_28591.nls (Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition) or C_28591.NLS (Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP). </quote> FYI Robert Aldwinckle --- |
