KB82019: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0: x86
Installation Failed: error code 0x1011
I have Visual Studio .Net 2002 installed.
btw: vs crashes when starting.
maybe it's related.

If you have VS .NET 2002 installed, then you also have .NET Framework v1.0
installed.

Do you have .NET Framework v1.1 installed.

Did you install the VS .NET 2005 beta at any time? -- which would have
installed the .NET Framework v2.0 /beta/, which must be uninstalled in order
to install the 'gold' code for .NET Framework v2.0.

No, I never installed it.

I experience the same problem. I have installed all dotnet versions and
service packs. I also have 2005 beta2 installed. I unstalled the beta
framework. But still
installation will not succeed. HELP!!!!

I am having the same problem. I think i'ts installing now. I found that you
also need to uninstall the .NET Compact Framework Beta 2.0 and I also remove
the Service Pack Beta for 1.1 of the Compact Framework
