I have "auto update" on my windows program and was prompted to update SP2
last week, and this originally caused me to lose my USB hub and mouse control, etc. I have regained that, but still have two problems: 1: When I reset my mouse for "alternate" (or left handed) it works fine. WHen I sign off and then on again, it reverts to the original default (right handed). I reset again and the same problems happens each time I sign on. I have uninstalled the logitech mouse and let my system find it, and the same problem happens 2: My computer system used to shut down when I signed off, now my system will only close out of the Windows XP platform, and I have to physically power down my computer system to turn it off. Can you please help - especially with the mouse problem john-mandeville@tampabay.rr.com |

Check in at Windows Update (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) to see if
there are additional updates available. If not or if installing them doesn't resolve your problem, post to this newsgroup: microsoft.public.windowsxp.general -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), AH-VSOP John-Mandeville wrote: > I have "auto update" on my windows program and was prompted to update SP2 > last week, and this originally caused me to lose my USB hub and mouse > control, etc. I have regained that, but still have two problems: > > 1: When I reset my mouse for "alternate" (or left handed) it works fine. > WHen I sign off and then on again, it reverts to the original default > (right handed). I did sign in and check for updates...my system is set for "automatic
updates" but I went in anyway, and XP claims I have the most updated version installed already.
