I have been through all of the posts, and have yet to find an answer to this
problem. I'm running XP Pro, with Service Pack 2. I have tried unsuccessfully to install the .NET Framework 2.0 update 6 times; each time I get a failure notice (KB829019), and Error Code 0x660. I am able to download the update, but the install won't work. I DO NOT have the 2.0 Beta version that everyone keeps talking about in the posts; I am running 1.1, with the hotfix update. I've checked C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework , and there are no other updates in there. I completely turned off all firewall and anti-spyware programs, but again to no avail. Any thoughts? I actually have a program that REQUIRES 2.0 to run, so I do need to install this. Thanks! David |
