HI guys,
I am unable to install SP2. When I tried to install SP2 using autometic
updates or going through web site I am downloading and in the middle of
installing after restroing,moving and copying files to C;\windows\system32
and updating registry keys evrything is done and all of sudden a pop is
coming and says "Access Denied" and shows OK button thats it and when I click
it goes back to undo the changes and last comes a pop window says " sp2 is
failed to install and windows is partialy updated" ask to click for RESTART.
I tried all the ways but I am unable to find the problem can any one help me.

DID YOU FIGURE OUT HOW TO INSTALL IT? I CAN'T AND HAVE TRIED MANY TIMES. IF

Hey fellas, I got a problem. When ever I try to download SP2 through Windows
update, the page I download from displays error message # 0x8002801D.
Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

Maybe you need to have your copy of XP validated first, or logon to XP with
admin priveledges/ also disable all GPO stuff to allow software updates.
One other : check that Local Security settings do not prevent access to your
update functions.
make sure there are no restrictive file and folder permissons applied to
your system folders.

Error number: 0x8002801D –

It has been posted that re-registering the MSXML3.DLL fixed this problem

Go to Start, select Run, and type:
regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
Click on OK or hit ENTER
