Files required to use Windows Update are no longer registered or installed on your computer. To continue: Register or reinstall the files for me now (Recommended) Let me read about more steps that might be required to solve the problem I click on register or reinstall teh files for me now however, after it says that its installed, i try again and the same thing occurs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please reply on here or drop me an ghuman@shaw.ca Thanks |

It has been posted that re-registering the MSXML3.DLL fixed this problem
Go to Start, select Run, and type: regsvr32 MSXML3.dll Click on OK or hit ENTER -- =========================== TaurArian [MS-MVP] 2005-2006 =========================== "RickGhuman" <RickGhuman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:18145BD5-528E-48F7-93BA-82A68CF96C9F@microsoft.com... >I keep getting this error when I try to Install updates > > Files required to use Windows Update are no longer registered or installed > on your computer.
