Hi,
The following update is repeatedly downloaded from Microsft windows update site although OS reports that it was installed successfully each time I confirm this update : "Cumulative Security Update for OE6 SP1 (KB823353)". How can I break this update cycle ? Dudi |

Windows version?
Are you posting from the problem machine (from your headers: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1106)? Look in OE Help > About > Files: What versions are displayed for the files MSOE.DLL and INETCOMM.DLL? -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), AH-VSOP Dudi wrote: > The following update is repeatedly downloaded from Microsft windows update > site although OS > reports that it was installed successfully each time I confirm this > update : "Cumulative Security Update for OE6 SP1 (KB823353)". > > How can I break this update cycle ? |

Temporarily uninstall KB897715 (from Add/Remove Programs), and see if KB823353 (MS04-018) installs successfully. Then install KB897715 again.
