Hi,

I am trying toupdate my Windows through Microsoft Update and I am getting
the following error. Tried to find out what it can be on my own but to no
avail. Can someone help me please. Currently I cannot update my computer
which can lead to security problems. The error returned in the Windows Update
Page is the following: -

[Error number: 0x80070424]
The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.

Hi,

Please try the following:

Click Start >> Run >>
Type the follow command in the Open box:

"net.exe stop wuauserv" (w/o quotes)

Press Ok


Repeat the same for the following commands:

regsvr32.exe wuapi.dll
regsvr32.exe wups.dll
regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll
regsvr32.exe wucltui.dll
regsvr32.exe MSXML3.dll
regsvr32.exe qmgr.dll
regsvr32.exe qmgrprxy.dll
net.exe start wuauserv

I am not able to update either. I am getting code 0x80070002. I tried running
those commands. When I try anything with regsvr32 in it ti says it can not
find regsvr32. I have already been online with MS support and all they have
done is give me a headache. Now I have no antivirus and still can't update.
Is this because my computer can't find regsvr32?

Thanks it worked exactly as you said. What is the problem I had, and what
