Default Windows Service Pack Setup

I just installed SP2 on my XP Home computer. Since I installed it, I now get
a message popping up saying "Windows Service Pack setup has encountered a
problem and needs to close". It gives you the option to send the report to
Microsoft or not to. If you send it, that's all it does, you get no further
info. after sending it. If you go into System Properites it shows under the
General tab that Service Pack 2 is installed. Everthing else seems to be
working.

I tried what you suggested but no repair window pops up to fix the problem.
While Windows Update is looking for updates for my PC the error "Windows
Service Pack Setup has encounterd a problem and needs to close" pops up. I
closed out of that and then a security update shows up suggesting I install
(KB890859). So I tried to install it but it says installtionn of update was
unsuccesful.
