Hi
I dont know if this error is being caused by windows update In the last week or so I've been getting hundreds of crypt32 event id 8 messages in the event log. Failed auto update retrieval of third arty root list sequence number from: <http://www.download.windowsupdate.co...atic/trustedr/ en/authrootseq.txt The messages in the log come in sets of four with the following as the last sentence: This network connection does not exit. or This operation returned because the timout period expired. or The server cannot perform the requested operation. or This network connection does not exist Any suggestions as to what might be wrong here.? Thanks |

Are you posting from the problem machine? If not my guess would be that your date would be wrong. Hmm... try a search? <title>Event ID 8 is logged in the Application log</title> http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;317541 (MS search for crypt32 event ) --- |
