Error Code 88780078

When I try to play or stream audio files, I get this error code, along with
the message "Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select
another device in configuration." I can't figure out how to do either of
those. Can anyone help me?

If your sound card is intergraded, go to your PC manufacture and download the
latest driver for your sound card and install it.
