I have seen this posted by 1 other person here and they didn't get a response.
I have XP home and I too am getting this error. Im tired of searching it out with not much info. Is there a page, site,Microsoft window that will explane all these error codes we get?? When i was W982ndEd,I found all kinda info on the errors. If somebody has some helpful information they can share with me,(us) much abliged. Update for Windows XP (KB887742) I have uninstalled and re-installed several times. Thank you, Aboat |

In your subject you have given a 9 digit code instead of the more common 8 digit code. Try searching for 0x80080008 instead? <w> However, a code by itself doesn't mean very much. Context is what matters. For example, I just did a search on the web interface for 0x80080008 and though there is definitely more than one incident found referring to it it would appear that normally it is a secondary symptom and when it is reported on its own no other details are provided. So it's possible that you are misinterpreting your log and putting too much significance on the final error code. Then the real clue to diagnosing your problem (whatever it is) could be elsewhere in the log, etc. > I have XP home and I too am getting this error. Im tired of searching it > out with not much info. Thank you Robert for your reply and the site for error codes.
My apologies for the typo,It was rather late in the A.M. and i was flustered. I don't know how many hours I spent searching Microsoft documents. I finally googled it and most likely with the 9 didget error.Google replyed none.I'll double check myself from now on,starting with this reply.I have found some answers to my questions thanks to you.
