Hmmm .... I've tried out to find a solution.... Not succesful, I have 31
security updates pending on my XP SP2 and the Update download fails (0x5). I haven't got it to work although I spent a lot of time on this. An example of the failure is as follows from the WindowsUpdate.log: DnldMgr *********** DnldMgr: New download job [UpdateId = {A13230F5-0B6A-4857-9E4E-6B5FC174A319}.100] *********** DnldMgr * Queueing update for download handler request generation. DnldMgr Generating download request for update {A13230F5-0B6A-4857-9E4E-6B5FC174A319}.100 Handler Windows Patch download for UpdateId = {A13230F5-0B6A-4857-9E4E-6B5FC174A319}: selected action is download express (delta). Handler Updateci: WinSEUpdateHandler::_Inventory: Installer returned 0x5 (5) Handler FATAL: UH: 0x80070005: Inventory failed Handler FATAL: UH: 0x80070005: GetNextRequiredFiles failed Handler FATAL: UH: 0x80070005: GetRequiredFilesForSandboxState failed DnldMgr FATAL: DM:CAgentDownloadManager::GenerateAllDownloadReque sts: GenerateDownloadRequest failed with 0x80070005. DnldMgr Error 0x80070005 occurred while downloading update; notifying dependent calls. What is that about? Grateful for tips! (I can download and install new updates but not those damned 31). Is this a authority problem? I have checked, but it didn't help.... Best regards / Axel "Company Man" wrote: > Running Windows XPSP2.
