Default Cannot update.

An error code showed up, 0x80246008, so I went to check the troubleshooting.
It told me that i need to go to services and turn on background intelligent
transfer service. It was already set to automatic but when i try to start it,
it gives me an error code -2147024894 and says it cannot start. Some help
please?

Hi Bleen,

A missing registry subkey, FilesNotToBackup, may be the culprit.
Open the registry editor and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\BackupRestore
Expand the BackupRestore key, and see if a subkey called FilesNotToBackup
exists. If not, then create that subkey under BackupRestore (ensure the
BackupRestore is highlighted as selected) by clicking on Edit>New>Key The
new key will be displayed with "New Key #1" highlighted. Key in
FilesNotToBackup so as to give the new key that name. Close the registry
editor, then restart your computer. Now see if you can successfully download
and install from Windows Update.
