Default Service pack 1 and 2

Hi -
I have Microsoft's XP SP2 disk and wish to use it to update a friend's
computer which has XP Home Edition installed. Does he need to have
downloaded SP1 update first or is this all contained in the SP2 update?

Thanks in advance for any help,
Regards,
Brian.

No. Everything in SP1 is contained in SP2.

Service Packs are cumulative.
