I just reformatted my system and installed a fresh copy of Win XP Pro - SP2.
This is the same disc I've used all the time with no troubles. The very first thing I do is install my window's updates and then my anti-virus software. When I go to Window's Update to begin my updates it starts to install their tool, gets to 100% registered and gives me the following error: [Error number: 0x8007041D] The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem. I'm like, "Wow, that's odd.. ok, let's reinstall from scratch again." So I do another full format and reinstall to find the same issue. So I go look at services.msc and see that the automatic update service is set to automatica but won't start. I click on start and get the following error: Could not start the Automatic Updates service on Local Computer. Error 0x8024d007: 0x8024d007 Does anyone have any idea as to what is going on? I need to get my pc updated. ![]() Cordially, JD Smith |
