I, too have had Installation failures on specific updates, since November.
Two of them are the Nov and Dec renditions of the Outlook Junkmail filters,
(both failed, retried with no other active , running progs). I have had
installation failures on these fulter upgrades for the tenth time now.
Dutifully reported as an event to MSN by my error /OCA reporter. No response
that I am aware of. Additionally I have added another upgrade to my
"installation failure list:" Update for Office 2003 (KB907417). This does not
please me at all. I teah computer science, on a pro-bono basis individually,
and am also a Faculty member atr a small Universsity, that seeks me out when
they have computer questions or problems that befuddle their IT techs. I am
embarrassed to say that I cannot explain these bits of noxious repetitive
failures to install. I would welcome any suggestions.
