So when we tried to install service pack 2 from automatic updates, the system
crashed and burned after it tried to restart, stalling on the black screen of death right after the windows XP icon appears while loading windows. So, we got rid of service pack 2, as it did the same thing last time and totalling destroyed our system (we had to reboot everything). This time, after we restored to a previous date, I checked the hard drive to see what kind of memory we had left and to clean up the hard drive and found that we only had 400MB remaining. Granted, we only have 10GB, but before the install we had half of the computer free. So, my hunch is that it backed up files in case someting went wrong. Where can I find all the others settings, files, etc. that have now clogged my computer so that I have space free again. |
