I've also been geting this error for about 8 months when trying to update
anything from Microsoft. The only thing that I've been able to get to
install has been the Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool. I find it
hard to believe that there is so little about this issue out there & that no
one to my knowledge has a fix for it. This makes me wonder about how serious
Microsoft is about their customer's security.
