Default How to download windows xp updates on a different computer?

I have asked this question somewhere else as well but have not been
able to solve my
problem as yet.

I have a Windows XP version 5.1.2600 SP2 machine connected to the
Internet through dail-up. The updates are so huge that these cannot be
downloaded using the slow speed of the dial-up connection.

However, I have two other machines at a separate location one running
Windows 2000 and the other running Linux and both have a high speed
connection to the Internet. I want to download the updates for my
Windows XP machine on one of these computers and then burn them to a CD

and then take this CD to the XP machine and apply the updates i.e. (1)
find out which updates are required for an XP SP2. (2) Download these
updates in a directory of my computer and then copy to a CD (3) Apply
these updates to the XP.

How do I do this?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

A.

Download the updates from the Windows Update Catalog, #1 on this link:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/wufix.htm

Or if you know the update number, you can search for that directly on
Microsoft's website.
From there you can download the update and burn to CD.
