i've got an old windows 98 system which keeps getting automatic warnings from
windows update for the same critical update (823559). in fact, if you view the installation history, it shows that i have successfully installed this update a half-dozen times. at this point it is just a minor annoyance, but i wanted to verify that it isn't a symptom of any greater problem, or see if someone didn't have a solution for stopping this recurrent fear-mongering? (if your solution is "get a new system", i whole-heartedly agree. you may donate via paypal.) |

Am also experiencing the same problem with a computer running WIndows 2000
Professional, so I don't think it's OS related. Decided to check this newsgroup to see if anyone else was experiencing the same problem.
