I am using Windows 2000 SP4 and getting error 0X80070424 when I used Windows
Update. I had used ERD to restore my computer. I had all the latest update
and hotfixes and IE6. When I restarted the computer I had IE 5.0. I installed
IE 6 SP1. I can see all hotfixes in my control panel add and remove. Also I
see the Automatic Update Icon and it works. When I check in services.msc I do
not see "Automatic Update" or B.I.T.S listed. I also download Windows Update
agent and it would not install before it was already. Can anyone tell how to
get Windows Update running?
