HELP PLEASE.
After repairing my XP Pro O/S with the original supplied CD, I have lost Windows SP2, the start up is now very slow and I am unable to open any Excel or Word file. Clicking on any it brings "this file cannot be opened because your virus scan has detected a problem with it". I have run a virus test (negative) ,disabled the Antivirus Program, run file repair in Word and Excel and re-installed Microsoft Office 2003 all to no avail. Where do I go next. I can`t afford to lose my files data. Any advice greatly appreciated. Ton |

The FIRST thing to do is re-install Service Pack 2 (I hope you have a CD
with that update contained thereon since it is a huge download ).
