xp on two machines

Default xp on two machines

hi ihave a home computer with xp pro on it, i have just got a second hand
computer for my daughters room, wiped it clean and have installed xp pro on
it, the same software that came with my dell compute, when it has installed
it says i have to go on line and finish the installation, but then it says
this saftware is already being used, will i have to buy a second edition od
xp for my daughters "homework" computer???

Yes you will. If you read the EULA, it states that Windows XP can ony be
installed on one single PC. Additionally since yours is an OEM copy, it is
tied to the Dell PC on which it is first installed and activated and cannot
be installed on any other PC, even if the Dell dies or is otherwise taken
out of service.
