Default HELP! Studio .net and IIS install problems!

Two programs, both Miscrosoft, both same issue?

I'm running XP professional SP2.

IIS: I install IIS as required, going to Control Panels, Add/Remove Progras,
etc. The message box SAYS install completed correctly, then says click next.
The window closes and a window that says "Windows XP Setup: Please wait..."
comes up. And it NEVER goes beyond this point. That window just hangs there
forever (3 hours now). I've tried renooting and trying again, and this is now
the 4th try with the same result.

Visual STudio .Net: To install, you must first install items from the VS
..net Prerequisites CD. The wizard SAYS they install fine and shows a check
mark next to each that installs. Yet, when I go back to regular install, it
says VS .Net cannot be installed until the prerequisites are installed. I
tried installing each component individually from the preq. cd, but, when you
try that it says a previous version of that installer is already running.
Even after reboot.

Does ANYONE have any ideas?

My first thought is that a group about using computers for people with disabilities is an appropiate choice for your question. I would not reccommend any VS group cause what would they know about VS (or IIS).

So the screen reader is preventing install, or is the alternative input device you are using - are you blind, deaf, or unco-ordinated.

Don't bother answering - just post in the right group.

Thanks David, that was quite a nice response. Guess I shouldnt bother to
point out that I was told to come to the XP groups by the VS people because
it was an XP problem?

Are you always this rude to people who need help? or is it something you
practice at? Since you feel the need to insult and deride, I imagine that it
probably made your day that you spent all time crafting your paltry insult.
Guess this make you the king of your little short bus riding special
education class now doesnt it? David Candy, Rex Ignoramus.

IIS have their own groups and VS is not part of windows. People who use these programs shouldn't get basic details like groups about accessability being about server apps.
