Administrator Password

I recently bought a new p.c. and i hadnt put in any other accounts.
I gave my administrator a password and forgot it.
Can i get it back?

XP Home or XP Pro?
If XP Home, try booting to safe mode and use a blank password for the hidden
administrator account.
