Recently, when starting my computer, the process has begun taking me about 5
minutes for my computer to get to the XP desktop screen. Nothing was changed (that I am aware of) and I also went back 2 weeks and did a system restore hoping it would return to it's historical load time, but that didn't work either. Any ideas? |

Too many apps loading at startup robbing your system resources. Go here:
Start>Run>type MSCONFIG and press Enter or OK Click the Startup tab and uncheck/disable everything except your anti-virus. Click Apply and Close. Reboot. Disabling does not delete anything, all your icons will work to activate apps. In addition, suggest you do a complete disk cleanup. At: Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup. Make sure you periodically delete Cookies and Temporary on and offline Internet files in IE (Internet Explorer). Happy putering :~) -- XP - WNP Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
