Runtime Error

For some crazy reason I keep getting a Message titled Microsoft Visual C++
Runtime Library. The message in the box says Runtime Error
Program : C:\Windows\Eplorer.exe


This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please contact the applications support team for more information.

when i hit the ok button, my screen momentarily goes goes blank except for
the background. Then all the icons reappear on the screen.

I haven't been able to get any help to solve this. Hope someone has an
answer. Thanks
