Default backup

hi igot winxpmce .my back up system is not working. can please any one tell
me how to solve this problem in detail?

Define "not working."

Aside: NTBackup that ships with XP is designed to backup to tape drives. It
does not backup to other media such as DVDs or CDs. A third party program
will be needed if this is the desired media for backups. Or the backup file
could be created on the hard drive and then transferred to DVD or CD.

It works also with external HDs.
