I have a Seagate STT 200004 SCSI Sequential tape drive with Seagate's Travan
20 tapes, 10/20 GB. Win XP backup utility won't erase these tapes. When I ask it to erase, it just set's there and won't do anything. I have "Stomp" backup software that will but I want to use the Windows utility. Is there any updated drivers for this utility? Thanks, Bud Z |

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have a comment. I've never used the Stomp software, but I 've heard good things about it. On the other hand, the built-in Windows backup program is very primitive. Why do you want to use something that doesn't do what you in preference to something that does? -- Ken Blake - Microsoft MVP Windows: Shell/User Please reply to the newsgroup |

My point exactly, the windows backup utility software is primitive.
