Here one example from Google: - Start / Programms / Autostart - look and remove when found - Start / execute / <msconfig> - look and remove when found Rolf |

Hi Lavert,
You did a clean install and that came up? Weird, as that's not a Windows file or folder and is more likely to be a virus or trojan of some sort. Check the run keys in the registry for a reference to it and delete it. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg Or possibly it is a shortcut in a startup folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Lavert" <b_lavert@bellsouth.net> wrote in message news:yq_qf.27348$aS5.12676@bignews4.bellsouth.net. .. > Did a clean re-install of Windows XPSP2 Hom,e Edition. Rich-Nutcase-Rolf
Thank all of you for your response. The problem was solved by copying the file DelFolders.exe from the motherboard software to C:WINDOWS\System32\Tools. Thanks again. |
