How do you get to be an administor of your computer? I get to the recovery
counsel by pressing the letter "r" once I am in the recovery counsel i get a
"C:>". How am i supposed to log on from this part as an administor because
when i type the suggestions in the above posts i get access is denied?

Hi,

After hitting 'r', do you get prompted to choose an installation to log on
to, then for the password?

Hi,

As I can't see the thread that you tagged on to, I am unsure of what it is
you are trying to resolve. Could you please provide some details?

Also, are you accessing the Recovery Console by booting the CD, or are you
choosing Safe mode with command prompt from the boot menu?

yes i am using the cd to get to the recovery counsel. i am getting the error
message that windows/system/vgaoem.fon is missing or corrupt. so i start
windows through the cd. i get to the welcome screen and hit "r" once i hit
"r" i get to the recovery console. there is a C:> on this screen. it does
not ask me to logon. so i type "expand d:\i386\vgaoem.fo_ c:\windows\system"
It tell me access is denied. do you know how i can gain access? how do i
logon? what will my password be?
