I use Parsons Address Book and when I attempt to save a backup copy of the
addresses file I get this alert. "Target drive does not contain enough free space to begin backup. Choose another drive or insert a new disk to continue." I have three SCSI hard drives, an 18 gig and two 37 gigs and a 160 gig Iomega network drive. All three SCSI drives have more than 25 % free space and the network drive has over 100 gigs of free space. The backup procedure worked at one time but in recent days a backup attempt resulted in the above alert. The only way to complete the backup is to save the ~250 kb file to my USB Cruzer "thumb" drive then move the file to a hard drive. Parsons Address Book was/is an outstanding address book but was offered in the days of Windows 95 and I would replace it if there was a address book that was as good in keeping data of several hundred contacts. The only suggestion that comes close to meeting my needs is File Maker but it's a bit spendy for this ol soul. -- Don "May your shadow be found in happy places." (Native North American) |

I do believe I've found the cure! I set the program compatibility to
Windows 98SE and the backup is now working. This soul may be old and he may be slow, but give him enough time he'll find his way home. <G> Take care all and have a Happy and prosperous New Year. -- Don Vancouver USA "Don Schmidt" <Don Retired Engineer@PNB.1987> wrote in message news:11r2vcasb49h667@corp.supernews.com... >I use Parsons Address Book and when I attempt to save a backup copy of the >addresses file I get this alert. > > "Target drive does not contain enough free space to begin backup.
