I should have been more specific. The Smart Wizard appears in the task bar
like an item that has simply been minimized. Although what you had me do took me to a place I had not been befor and will assist me in "cleaning up" all those things by my clock. Thanks. I look forward to further help if you have any. Have you tried uninstalling it or seeking advice from the suppliers of
the Netgear Smart Wizard? ....Alan -- Alan Edwards, MS MVP Windows - Internet Explorer http://dts-l.org/index.html On Tue, 27 Dec 2005 23:00:02 -0800, "Task bar item wont go away" <Task bar item wont go away @discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: >I have an item in my task bar (Smart Wizard) and it wont go away. All I did with Smart Wizard was set it up for burning DVDs. Has nothing to
do with Net Gear and it isn't in the add/remove programs so I can't uninstall it doesn't even show up in the Start/Programs list. If it is not NetGear Smart Wizard, then what Smart Wizard is it?

It has an icon in the system tray (next to the clock) to allow changes to the configuration. That's OK. But it _also_ has something directly next to the Start area that looks like an application that has been opened and minimized. That's not OK with me. I have left, right, single, and double clicked it and it does not pop up. And (in response to someone's posting) I do _not_ want to uninstall the Logitech utility. |

It appeared after I tried to burn a DVD for the first time. It was at the
beginning asking format etc. I didn't install any new hardware or anything like that.
