Default Does anyone know of any other sights for newbies?

Does anyone know of any other sights that have message/help boards regarding
computer problems for the ignorant novice such as myself?:-) I would be
interested in finding something akin to "computer help for dummies" with
message boards, etc. Thanks.

Quite a few MVP's have their own websites which may be of interest,
especially with specific problems. Try www.mvps.org for details. I also have
my own XP Help and Support site at http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org
Admittedly these are not newsgroups but the MVP's have tried to put together
on their individual sites the most popular troubeshooting tips.

Have you yet gone through the included Windows Tutorial and read through the
articles using Start -> Help and Support? Or by hitting the F1 key in
whatever application with which you need help.

just ask away in the newsgroup you just asked. that's what it is for....
try also microsoft.public.windowsxp.newusers if that's what you're wanting.
the "basics" group is OK for newbies...

Computer Haven is wonderful for newbies. It is run by MVP Patty
MacDuffie and it is a kind, caring place. I can't recommend it highly
enough. Give it a try.

And just for your general information and to help you get the most out
of *this* newsgroup resource:

Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you
learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows,
but you can use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are
some links to information about newsgroups:
