Does this happen all the time? i.e. Do you get the icon when you first
connect, when the modem answers and make the connection, or doesn't it show up at all? Have you (inadvertantly) set the "connected" icon from the task bar as "always hide" in the "hide icons" option? Right click the task bar, Select "Properties" At bottom of the Properties dialogue, see if the "hide inactive icons" is checked, If so, then click "Customise" Check the list to see if the icon for "Connected to [ISP] at X kbps..." is "hide when inactive" or "always hide". Cchange the option to "always show" then "OK" (and/or "Apply") out of all the dialogues. Hope this helps.
