I use Win XP SP2. My notebook pc came with 512 mb ram. I later added
another 512mb but in my systems (Control Panel/System), it only show ram at 896mb and not 1024mb. Is something wrong with my new memory? |

1024 - 896 = 128MB allocated to your video adapter.
This is normal and nothing to fret over. -- Carey Frisch Microsoft MVP Windows - Shell/User Microsoft Community Newsgroups news://msnews.microsoft.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Sachi Noma" wrote: | I use Win XP SP2. What is the size of the memory for the video card? This sounds right if the
video card is using 128MB for its RAM. On 11/11/2005 "Sachi Noma" <snospam@kamakura.net> wrote: >I use Win XP SP2. My notebook pc came with 512 mb ram. Your video card is using some of the RAM (shared memory). Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User |

It looks like your laptop's video card is using 128 MB of your system RAM for
the video memory. 896 MB + 128 MB = 1024 MB On 11/11/2005 "Sachi Noma" <snospam@kamakura.net> wrote: >My graphic memory is 128mb. > >Thank you. > >"Yves Leclerc" <yvesleclercNOSPAM@sympatico.ca> wrote in message >news:O025Nhs5FHA.444@TK2MSFTNGP11.phx.gbl... >> What is the size of the memory for the video card?
