Hello! I have folders containing many, one-page Word documents. I like to
print these in batches of 5-20 files at a time. I used to be able to highlight a block of file names, right-click on the block, and order the files to Print. Word would open up in a background fashion, the files would open sequentially and print, and then Word would close. Now I try that same thing, and nothing happens. Absolutely nothing! If I watch in Windows Task Manager for activity, no new apps or services open up, and the machine remains mostly idle. I can still open the Word files, one at a time, and print them with no problems. It's only the group- or batch-print thing that seems to have become disabled somehow. Any ideas on how I can reactivate this nice feature of Windows? Thanks in advance for your help. -- Dr. Mitchell R. White |

There are many newsgroups devoted to Word. Try posting in
microsoft.public.word.newusers and follow the advice there. -- Colin Barnhorst [MVP Windows - Virtual Machine] (Reply to the group only unless otherwise requested) "Doc White" <DocWhite@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:66D926D1-D82B-4248-B952-D77FF863F61C@microsoft.com... > Hello! Thanks, Colin. I'll post over there later on. The reason I posted here is,
it appears to be a change in Windows operations. I haven't updated Office, only Windows XP. And the difference in operation appears to be after one of the SP2 Automatic Updates. But maybe the answer lies elsewhere. -- Dr. Mitchell R. White "Colin Barnhorst" wrote: > There are many newsgroups devoted to Word. Thanks, David! I'll give that a try. The nice folks over in the Word groups
couldn't spot anything, and referred me back over here. It's odd that one machine I have (desktop) has the problem, but the other (laptop) doesn't. Some subtle differences in configuration, I suppose. I may look through the registry on the laptop as well. Enjoy! -- Dr. Mitchell R. White "David Candy" wrote: > 2.
