I have Win.XP SP2. I have a DVD/RW (D) drive (or did have) , now it says
when I open my computer "InCD" which is something to do with Nero. I also have a DVD E drive (burner). My problem is what has happened to my D drive it won't read or play anything now, I tried to back up my docs, and I usually just go to win.explorer, choose what I want to back up to disk and click "send to D drive" but it has InCD there now. I opened Nero and thought I was doing a back up from there then, but my D drive doesn't read anything now. E Drive will and my docs is on the CD RW, that's the first time I decided to use a RW too to back up stuff, as thought I could erase it later to do a new back up later. I don't know what I've done but I am upset because my D drive isn't working, and I don't see it in My Computer. I am new to all this so any not too technical advice would be appreciated. thank you for any help in getting rid of InCD, or whatever it is I have done. Casey. |

I think you can remove InCD by going to Control Panel>Add Remove Programs
and select Nero to uninstall. It should allow you to select which components to uninstall and not just the whole thing. If you think it might be wanting to remove all of Nero, cancel out and check the Nero help. I haven't used Nero in several months, so I am trying to help from memory. -- Colin Barnhorst [MVP Windows - Virtual Machine] (Reply to the group only unless otherwise requested) "Casey" <casey@hunterlink.com> wrote in message news:fAaef.17780$Hj2.15661@news-server.bigpond.net.au... > Thanks for responding Jim, > When I look at "my computer" it has drive C > then InCD (D) that used to say DVD/RW (D) I want that back. > then DVD-RAM drive E, I'm not even sure if that has changed. > > I don't want that InCD thing, I'm sure that's just appeared. Thanks for responding Jim,
When I look at "my computer" it has drive C then InCD (D) that used to say DVD/RW (D) I want that back. then DVD-RAM drive E, I'm not even sure if that has changed. I don't want that InCD thing, I'm sure that's just appeared. Now I can't play anything or read anything on my D drive. Nero came with the LG DVD burner that I bought months ago and I've never had a problem with my D drive before this. I put some photos onto a disk yesterday and I was able to play them back, but nothing now. However, I just tried to burn a music CD (that I didn't need to) in that D drive and it worked but won't play back. I have to put everything into the DVD burner to read anything. Casey.
