Default Re: Windows error message

Hi
My computer is a Medion which I bought from PC World about 5 years ago,
can't remember exactly when. I have a product recovery c.d and an
Application and support C.D. The file system is NTFS and it boots alright
and I have not noticed anything wrong or not working. I am posting from this
computer as it is the only one I have. A few days ago it was fine until I
messed it up trying to put this panda software on from a email I got from
them, and took off my e-trust. Then I could not connect to the internet
until it took me about 10 hours to work out that my user-name was not
correct. That is when these messages started. Thank you for explaining how
to do things you want me to look at otherwise I would not have a clue. To me
the computer is like an ocean, it is very large and I will never know all
about it or remember. I hope you can still help me and if I put that
recovery disk in would I loose all my software ect. that I have installed?
Hope to hear from you soon, cheers.

I forgot to mention I keep getting error reports that I send off to
microsoft, it seems to be happening alot even when I leave here and start
closing the system down, so I don't know if that has something to do with it.

I now need copies of those Error Reports in Event Viewer on Application
and System tab for the last 2 days. Post only copies of Reports where
the Event Type = Error.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer.
When researching the meaning of the error, information regarding Event
ID, Source
and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=winxp

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the
error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a button
resembling two
pages. Double click the button and close Event Viewer. Now start your
message
(email) and do a paste into the body of the message. This will paste the
info from the
Event Viewer Error Report complete with links into the message. Make
sure this is
the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer.

BTW in what country do you live?

Hope this helps.

Windows saved user FAMILYROOM\Merfyn Jones registry while an application or
service was still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the
user's registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is
no longer in use.

This is often caused by services running as a user account, try configuring
the services to run in either the LocalService or NetworkService account.
