When I start my computer, the screen says "starting windows" and follows with
RPCSS is starting. This seems to take a long time (about 1 min or more) b4 the login screen comes up. Is this usual, what exactly is rpcss? Regards Ian |

Hi,
Rpcss is the Remote Procedure Call service and is essential to normal operation. An unusually lengthy delay is usually something loading in the startup group (and may be interfering with the service starting, thus causing the lengthy delay).
