Default Backup files


I have a problem.... I tried to restore some deleted files... so first I
backed them up.. and then chose to restore them to a single folder, and
unfortunately i chose my folder in the desktop and then when the
restore finished my folder dissapeared... can anybody tell me where can
i find it??

What exactly do you mean by "when the restore finished"? What "restore"?
Are you talking about System Restore or an OEM Recovery Disk process?

And also, if I may add a couple of questions: how did you back them up?. How
did you try toi restore them? What do you mean by "my folder in the
desktop"? What folder? Tell us its name.

Were you using the XP Backup/Restore utility?

You mean you used an "undelete" type program that created a temp virtual
folder or partition, to show you what files can be undeleted... then you
messed up because you did not read the ReadMe/Help files in undeleter? Make
a SvdFiles folder, undlete whatever you can and save in SvdFiles.
