My hard drive crashed and I had to replace the whole thing. I purchased
a retail full version of Windows XP SP2 and installed it my new hard drive. Ever since then I can not install any printer on the computer. Details of what I did and my problem. -Hard Drive crashed, purchased and installed a new one -Installed a full version Windows XP pro and then SP2 -Tried to install USB printer (tried multiple printers), when I plug in the printer it recongnizes the type of printer, then it shows copying the files to install the driver, then at the end it closes and says "there was a problem installing your printer, it may not work properly" -The printer does not show up in the control panel under printers -Downloaded the latest drivers for both printers to ensure I had the latest version. I aslo get the same error with a regualr printer cable also. So any ideas? |
