If I delete a recent document marker in the normal view of Windows XP
(going Start | My Recent Documents) the window then closes; so I have to open it again to delete a second recent document marker. In the classic view, the window stays open; so I can delete more than one marker at a time. Is there a way to get that window to stay open in the regular Windows XP view? Ma |

Hi,
There is a workaround. From Folder Options> View, check "Show hidden files." Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\{username} Right click My Recent Documents> Properties> Uncheck "Hidden." You can browse to this folder whenever you want to selectively clean out recent documents. You could put a shortcut to this folder on the desktop or some other convenient location. Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "Ma No" <oneday[at]at.ime> wrote in message news:J60of.105$mj1.87@newsread3.news.pas.earthlink .net... > If I delete a recent document marker in the normal view of Windows XP > (going Start | My Recent Documents) the window then closes; so I have to > open it again to delete a second recent document marker.
