Default Transferring Cookies

I have a new laptop, and I'm trying to transfer my IE6 cookies from my
desktop to the laptop. I've done this before by copying the cookies from one
machine and installing them in the corresponding \Documents and
Settings\Username\Cookies folder on the other. They all show up in Windows
Explorer as being in the proper folder, but when I use the Favorites
pull-down in IE6, none of them appear.
I'm sure I'm missing something fundamental and simple, but I'm too
simple to know what it is. Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Transferring Cookies

Because cookies go to the cookies folder (as you aptly demonstrated in your
message) and favorites go in the favorites folder. So, putting cookies where
you did does not mean you can then see favorites; copy the favorites
instead.
