If you log on with another account and it works try renaming the folder,
under documents and settings, with the same name as the account with the problem, then log in again as that user and test. You will have to log in as admin to rename the folder. As admin you can copy files from the old profile to the same place in the new profile (favorites, my documents, etc..) hth DDS W 2k MVP MCSE "sivla36" <sivla36@cox.net> wrote in message news:%238xQbst5FHA.3312@TK2MSFTNGP15.phx.gbl... > HI hi have a toshiba lapotop pc it originaly came with winXP home. > i have installed XP pro on it. and joine dit to a network. > when i log on to the network my Start button will not work. the only way > that i can access any programs is to click on the my computer icon on my > desktop then locate the program i want to use. if i log on to the laptop > Localy the laptop works fine does anyone know what would cause this to > happen |
